2012 Natchez, Mississippi — Spring Pilgrimage

March 10 – 14, 2012

Depart St. Louis on your deluxe motorcoach for a journey back in time to hoop skirts and frock coats.

Discover the history of Natchez through the beautiful City Cemetery, established in 1822. We will tour Stanton Hall, built on an entire city block with it’s huge Corinthian columns, Natchez- Longwood, known as the most beautiful, as well as the largest of the Octagonal Houses and Rosalie Mansion along with other classic and memorable homes.

Floriade & Hampton Court Flower Show
July 2 to 10, 2012

We will start with a short trip to nearby Savill Gardens. Set within the Royal Landscape of Windsor Great Park, this is a garden to blow away the travel cobwebs! We will spend three nights in the Royal town of Windsor.

We visit the Gardens of the Rose near St. Albans, Headquarters of the Royal National Rose Society. Lunch will be independent followed by an afternoon spent enjoying the treasures within Hatfield House.

A visit to Hampton Court, one of the greatest royal palaces in Britain including the breathtaking, RHS Hampton Court Flower Show.
We will board the Eurostar to Brussels. Upon arrival, we’ll stretch our legs during a walking tour of the city centre including the Grande Palace.

We will be off to Floriade 2012. Taking place only once in every ten years, Floriade is billed as the ‘greatest flower show on earth’. It features a cultural program of music, dance, theatre, and visual arts from all over the world.

Our final destination, Amsterdam, we stop for a guided tour of Het Loo Palace’s beautiful baroque-style gardens known as ‘The Versailles of the North.’ See Amsterdam from the water on our canal cruise of this magnificent and historic city.

Our last day is at leisure…visit the Rijksmuseum to see Rembrandt’s Night Watch, the Van Gogh Museum to view his emotional paintings, or stroll the floating flower market.

2012 Castles, Gardens & Wines of the Loire Valley
July 14 – 21, 2012

We start this journey to Givery Gardens with a guided visit of Monet's house and garden. On the way to Amboise, we will stop for a visit to the gardens at Château Valmer whose architecture, terraces and bowers are reminiscent of 16th and 17th century gardens. Enjoy some wine-tasting of Vouvray wines of Château Valmer vineyards

A full day of discovery of the south Loire valley. First a visit to the . Visit the Château de l’Aulée and enjoy some wine-tasting in its excellent-value wines.

We will have a guided visit of Château d’Amboise from the 15th and 18th centuries. Visit the Royal House, the Chapel (Leonardo da Vinci’s tomb) and the gardens.
You will then head to Chinon, terroir of red wines and enjoy a wine tasting session. Don’t miss the famous fortress of Chinon! Enjoy some French art de vivre and get onboard for a cruise on the River Loire.

On to the Château du Rivau with its ‘fairy gardens’ created with remarkable taste. The castle is an invitation to discover French author Rabelais’ world. Your visit will end with a wine-tasting of the Val de Loire wines.

We set off for a guided visit of the Château de Chenonceau, one of the jewels of the Loire Valley Château. The vast Domain of Chenonceau offers the possibility to discover the two renowned and magnificent gardens of Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Medicis.

Then on to Versailles where we stop for a guided visit of the Château de Chambord, the largest Renaissance castle born from the dreams of a young king, Francis the 1st, and from the greatest genius of all times, Leonardo da Vinci. The most fascinating Loire Valley castle!

The tour winds down with a visit of the Château and the Gardens of Versailles which count among the most prestigious monuments of the world’s artistic heritage and are certainly the finest and most complete achievement of 17th century French art.
